A scary, contactless event is coming to Orlando this fall. Designed with social distancing measures in mind, a new Halloween drive-thru experience—which looks as frightening as a traditional haunted house—is launching for the spooky season.

Created by a group of Orlando-based creatives and themed entertainment experts, the Haunted Road takes guests through an original storyline with familiar characters. According to a press release, guests will drive through nightmarish scenes "of an untold story of Rapunzel as she journeys into a world of disarray, faces bloodcurdling creatures–and hundreds of shocking scares."

Want to bring your kids along for some Halloween fun? On select weekends, there will be a family-friendly version of the experience during the day.

"With the arts and entertainment industry at a standstill, and an increasing need to find new, safe outdoor entertainment, we knew it was the perfect time to develop a unique Halloween experience so everyone can enjoy a dose of horror this upcoming Halloween season, from the comfort of their car,” Jessica Mariko, executive producer and creative principal for the Haunted Road, said in a statement.

The Haunted Road will cast local actors and performers, and virtual auditions will be held from August 13 to August 16. Anyone interested in performing or volunteering can find more info here.

Tickets to the haunted drive-thru will start at $15 per person. There are no official dates for the experience just yet, but you can sign up for updates here.
