These NYFW Street Style Outfits Absolutely Belong on Your Moodboard

It's February, which means it's time for your favorite influencers, celebrities, and editors to set aside their seasonal depression, put on their fanciest coats, and clock in for another New York Fashion Week. NYFW is, of course, the twice-a-year showing of upcoming designer collections, but it's also absolute prime time for scoping out the fashion trends (and micro-trends!) that real, stylish people are actually hitting the streets in.
No need to start aggressively Instagram-stalking—we sent photographer Jamie Pearl into the buzzy fashion week street style scene to get the scoop on what the cool kids are wearing to the shows, and let me tell you, the sartorial inspo is real. We saw 2025 trends like ballet pink, Western motifs, the office siren look, and plenty more going strong.
And don't worry, you won't be left staring longingly at incredible clothes that cost approximately one billion dollars and your firstborn child with no way of recreating the look for yourself—we went ahead and shopped out each outfit for you with plenty of affordable dupes so you can snag your favorite pieces ASAP. Shall we dive in?!
Faux Fur Forever
If one thing was made clear this fashion week, it's that faux fur is having a comeback in the fiercest way. We're seeing everything from fluffy shearling textures to brightly colored and printed iterations. No need to go head-to-toe Mob Wife if you aren't feeling it, though—the coats go just as well with your tan work slacks as they would with a cliché pair of oversized sunglasses.

Camo is Back
We're seeing a camouflage resurgence (maybe because everything post-COVID has felt a little apocalyptic, but maybe that's just me!) in the form of cargo pants, work jackets, hoodies, T-shirts, you name it. And by the way, camo is a surprisingly neutral base if you're planning on throwing a bunch of accessories in the mix!

Oversized Outerwear
There's nothing like a statement coat to pull an outfit together, especially if it's a leather piece à la Neo from The Matrix with oversized shoulder pads and length for days. If you haven't hopped on the trench-that-could-be-hiding-three-small-children train yet, it might be time to hit up your grandpa's closet, your local antique store, or, of course, the shopping gallery below. And don't forget to size up for that larger-than-life look!

Bright Pistachio
All the color was out and about this season, though, bright pistachio really had its time to shine. The soft, standout hue (a blend of neon green and moss green) complements both bold colorways and neutrals. Bring the color in through accessories if you want to be modest or in your main pieces if you're down to go full-throttle bold.

Chain Bras
Bras are back in, but not in the way that probably comes to mind... Think: rhinestones, chains, and sparkles—aka a whole lot of va va voom. Style the glam bralette by layering it over a coat, jacket, or top for a statement, cheeky accessory. It's an easy way to spice up a basic piece.

There’s been no shortage of transparent, opaque, and colorful tights this fashion week. Take some inspo from this grungy spin on a balletcore look (I mean, the bun! The soft pink! The tiny bag that can only hold an AirPod and a dream!) and match your tights to the details on your leather jacket.

Sunny Slopes
Hello, sunshine. Just because it’s freezing cold outside in New York City doesn’t mean we aren’t manifesting warmer, sunnier days by color-blocking with warm shades of yellow, pink, and blue. For a full-on bag lady moment, layer a smaller bag over your large, practical tote (a big trend we’re seeing for 2025, btw).

City Cowboy Chic
Dare I say Beyoncé (ahem, or Cowboy Carter) is who we should be thanking for spiking up this trend? Let this be proof that you can sport the Western look without being around farm animals and tumbleweeds. There are so many ways to add edgy flair to cowboy boots and a cowboy hat—but if you really wanna lean into the "Howdy" life (but make it fabulous), incorporate sophisticated denim pieces like a jean button-up dress or patchwork jean pants to round out the vibe. Add a colorful or structural purse for an extra pop.

Embroidered Denim
Compared to regular ol' blue jeans (which are a tried-and-true), embroidered denim allows more space for personal style. The trend that has a retro, '70s feel comes in an array of different designs, embroideries, and patchwork that lets people express their individuality. And just saying, you can throw on a plain tee with embroidered jeans and instantly elevate your look without breaking a sweat.

Monochrome Pink
In 2023, Barbie said pink is the color everybody should be wearing. And in 2025, Glinda said pink is here to stay. (The fashion experts at Cosmo officially named it a 2025 trend!) Mix and match the sweet colorway with various hues, tones, and textures to bring dimension to your all-pink moment.
