Noyah La Maison in Changi Airport serves quirky Peranakan dishes like kari chicken croissant & tempeh cream pasta

Freshly opened in Dec 2022, Noyah La Maison is one of Changi Airport’s latest eateries. This restaurant specialises in fusion Peranakan cuisine, or as they like to call it, quirky Peranakan.

Noyah La Maison - Store interior

The chef was inspired by his grandmother’s old recipe book; he wanted to put a twist on these traditional dishes. Thus, the birth of Noyah La Maison. The restaurant offers a more contemporary menu that is innovative while still paying homage to the chef’s Straits-Chinese roots.

If you’re in the mood for noodles, try out their Noyah Laksa (S$9.90) for a bowl of yellow noodles, fish cakes, prawns, vegetables, and homemade sambal, or the Baba Nicks Kari Chicken Noodles (S$9.90) that will satisfy your cravings for rich and creamy curry.

Noyah La Maison - Croissant

Surprise your taste buds with their creative West-meets-East fusion dishes. The restaurant serves Beef Rendang Croissant (S$10.90), Kari Chicken Croissant (S$9.90), and Sambal Seafood Mayo Croissant (S$9.90), all of which combine classic Southeast Asian delights with France’s beloved flaky pastry.

Rice and pasta fans don’t have to worry, as Noyah La Maison has a selection of main dishes that’ll fill you up before your flight. Their Asam Pedas Seafood Rice Bowl (S$10.90) comes with fragrant blue pea rice, prawn, squid, okra, brinjal, and a soft boiled egg. They also serve Tempeh Cream Pasta (S$10.90), Chili Garam Prawn Pasta (S$11.90), and Beef Rendang Bolognese (S$10.90).

Noyah La Maison - Bandung Tart

Complete your fusion Peranakan meal with desserts inspired by local flavours such as the Buah Keluak Flourless Cake (S$8.90). You might think that at its core, carrot cake is weird enough— whose idea was it to put vegetables in a sweet treat? Well, this restaurant takes it a step further with their Carrot Cake with Lemongrass Frosting (S$7.90).

They have tarts that come in unique flavours as well, like the Bandung Sago Tart and Cendol Tart, priced at S$5.90 each.

Take your taste buds on an adventure before your actual adventure at Noyah La Maison.
