Today (September 27) is National Voter Registration Day, and Twitter is kicking things off with a cool, convenient feature that may really appeal to millennials — they’re allowing users to register to vote via DM.

According to Twitter’s official blog, they’re making voter registration easier than ever before. All you have to do is send a direct message (DM) containing your 5-digit zip code to the Twitter account @Gov. You’ll receive a message with the deadline for registration in your area and a link to begin your registration.

This is all possible thanks to Twitter’s partnership with Rock the Vote, a campaign aiming to get more young adults across the nation engaged in the election process. Several celebrities support the campaign, like comedienne Chelsea Handler and musicians Tegan and Sara.

Eventually, Twitter plans to make it possible for your DM interaction with @Gov to provide answers to frequently asked questions about the voting process as well.

The social media platform is also allowing you to share your good news with friends, family, and followers. Tweet with the hashtag #iRegistered (which, of course, has its own emoji) once you register to vote, and it’ll include a link for others to click and register themselves.
