Now This Is a Post-Baby Appearance for the Books
Cardi B is back on the red carpet.
The new mom of two made her first major appearance since welcoming her second child, a son, earlier this month. The "Bodak Yellow" rapper was in Paris for the "Thierry Mugler: Couturissime" exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs as part of Paris Fashion Week. For her return to the spotlight, the star wore a stunning, avant-garde gown covered in fire-red sequins, courtesy of the featured designer. The look also included a plunging, crystal-encrusted bustier; matching elbow-length gloves; a curve-hugging silhouette; and a towering, feather-trimmed cape. As for beauty, Cardi went with coordinating bedazzled eyebrows and a glossy nude lip.
Cardi shared a glimpse of the showstopping look on Instagram, writing alongside the photos, "MUGLER MAMI."
Cardi B's surprise appearance in Paris is the rapper's first major event since welcoming her second child with her husband, rapper Offset. She posted the baby news on Instagram following her son's arrival, but has yet to reveal his name publicly, opting instead to share the simple caption, "9/4/21🦕💙," alongside his birth announcement.
"We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son," Cardi and Offset said in a statement to People at the time. "He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can't wait to introduce him to his other siblings."
Expanding her family hasn't stopped Cardi from staying booked and busy. The rapper has made a number of high-profile appearances on recent hit tracks, including features on Normani's highly anticipated summer single, "Wild Side," and Lizzo's recent hit, "Rumors."
