We love it when we spot one of our favourite celebs rocking a high street buy. Why? Well, not only is it proof you can find some real gems without spending a fortune (harder and harder to do thanks to the cozzie livs), but it also means we can recreate their look super easily. Ya know, compared to their red carpet ballgowns.
And it seems more and more of the A-list are turning to some of our go-to affordable brands for their wardrobe updates. From Anya Taylor-Joy rocking an oversized collar cottagecore blouse from the fashion editor-approved label, Damson Madder, to Bella Hadid, Simone Ashley *and* Iris Law all wearing the same Missoma earrings on repeat.
Now, Emily Ratajkowski has become the latest famous face to turn to the high street for style inspo. The model turned podcast host was photographed out in New York yesterday [Wednesday 29 May] wearing a white crochet midi dress we couldn't quite believe was from one of our favourite shopping destinations.
Alright, alright, enough teasing, we'll spill. EmRata's dress is from... Mango!
The cotton and linen design features a V-neck, asymmetric hem and loose silhouette that perfectly taps into the current boho revival. Embroidered crochet detailing furthers this feel, while also giving a sexy update thanks to the see-through adornments positioned across the right bust, hip and back.
Emily added bright red Puma Speedcats to her look and accessorised with all the gold jewellery. We're talking layered necklaces, a bracelet stack, plus gold hoop earrings. Yellow sunglasses provided the perfect finishing touch. Foregoing a handbag, Em carried her phone in her hand because no pockets, no problem.
Retailing at £119.99, this dress is a little more expensive than most Mango styles but we're pretty sure that speaks to the quality of design given it's made from natural, not synthetic, materials. And when you take cost per wear into account, it's practically pennies because you know we'll be living in this dress for the rest of the summer. It's just sooo wearable.
Yep, we're sold. *Adds to shopping bag immediately*.
The only downside is its limited size range. Come on Mango, the curvy girls deserve cute crochet dresses, too!
