Norwegian Cruise Line is celebrating educators by offering discounted cruises and rewarding 20 teachers with a free cruise on the company’s newest ship.

To reward hard-working teachers, Norwegian is welcoming people to nominate their favorite educators across the United States and Canada as part of the company’s annual Giving Joy campaign to win a two-night inaugural trip on its newest Norwegian Aqua ship next year from April 4 to 6 in Boston, according to the cruise line. Nominations are open online through June 7.

The 20 teachers who receive the most votes will be invited to join the cruise. In addition, the top five winners will also receive the chance to attend the Aqua's christening and a three-night inaugural sailing from Miami from April 13 to 16, 2025.

"We are proud of our history of thanking educators for their hard work and commitment to shaping the next generation of future leaders," David J. Herrera, the president of Norwegian Cruise Line, said in a statement, adding, “Travel is a powerful means of education, and we look forward to welcoming educators to join us on board to explore the world."

But Norwegian isn’t stopping there. Teachers and school staff from both the U.S. and Canada are also now eligible for a 5 percent discount on any Norwegian voyage around the world, along with a $50 onboard credit to enhance their vacation.

The discount is available to active classroom teachers from Pre-K through 12th grade, principals and assistant principals from Pre-K through 12th grade, school employees in schools from Pre-K through 12th grade, and college or university professors. To take advantage, educators must be validated through the ID.me system.

When it launches, the Norwegian Aqua will welcome more than 3,500 guests to enjoy the world's first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide, a digital sports complex with an interactive LED floor, a 10-story free-fall slide, and more.
