Nora Danish finally confirms that she is a hijabi now
18 Jul - The hijab has always been on the forefront of Nora Danish's mind since she began attending a lot of Islamic related events beginning May last year.
The actress, who spoke about her change of image at the press conference of her new drama, "Perang Nasi Dagang" recently, stated that she had often thought about changing for the better since turning 40, but that she kept hesitating at first.
"But then my good friend Betty Rahmad began to host a lot of religious study events at her place. I would attend once a month if I had no prior activity. But sometimes I feel ashamed of myself for remaining the same despite having frequented such events," she said.
Nora then added, "My mother was the first person who was moved to tears by the transformation."
The actress also admitted that a lot of her fans have been praying for her but that she was not ready to say anything about it earlier, being someone who is still learning.
"I am slowly trying to change myself for the better. I will try to attend as many of these classes as possible to gain more knowledge," she added.
As to what her ex-husband Nedim said about the changes, Nora stated that he was surprised and was full of praises for her.
"I wore it for the first time when he was in hospital. Of course he was happy and told me how good I look in a hijab," she added.
