This flattering two-piece set I've had so many compliments is now on sale

I picked up this Nobody's Child set earlier this year and can confirm it's worth every penny.

When it comes to 2024 fashion trends, several bold prints are currently rising in the style stakes, including animal print, colorful gingham, and more minimal striped designs. A wide variety of striped variations can be found on the high street right now, ranging from classic monotones to vibrant pops of colour and different widths.

Quick overview

Now, as someone who has historically been a big fan of prints, this is music to my ears. And since learning of this, I haven't been more excited to give my wardrobe a refresh — starting with this trendy two-piece set from Nobody's Child, which is hugely reduced right now.

Part of Nobody's Child latest collection, the set comes sold separately as a matching top and skirt, and is available in sizes 4 to 18. It stands out for its all-over stripe print and flattering shape and is currently selling fast online thanks to the significant drop in price.

The boatneck top is down from £45 to £18, and the midi skirt is down from £59 to £23. Talk about a bargain?

I snapped it up the second I saw it, and after receiving numerous compliments whenever I wear it out, I have a feeling it's going to become a hardworking set in my spring wardrobe. A few other Yahoo UK editors have even been influenced to buy the matching set, too.

There's no denying the chic look of this set. In fact, it's so chic that when I first wore it, I received multiple compliments from complete strangers. One person even said, "Gosh, you're dressed so well", which I think we can all agree is the ultimate outfit compliment.

I'm not usually one for skin-tight clothing, but was pleasantly surprised when the set arrived on my doorstep and I did my first try-on. I found it hung perfectly in all the right places, I could still move with ease and it didn't define any of my problem areas.

My favourite feature, though, has to be the all-over horizontal stripe print. Unbelievably flattering on a range of body types, the optical illusion means that it hugs your shape in a very forgiving way.

The ruching on the side of the top and skirt further accentuate my curves, and the boatneck-style top looks great on, even as someone with a fuller bust.

Made from a super soft jersey with stretch, it's also an extremely comfortable fit. The elasticated waistband isn't too restrictive, and expands just enough so I can still devour a three course meal (plus drinks).

The length of the skirt is described as midi, but I styled it as a maxi — which means, depending on your height, it could work as either. I am 5'4.

Sizing-wise, I found Nobody's Child sizing to be super accurate. I went with my normal size — 10 on top and 10 on the bottom (although, in some shops I'm more of a 12 on the bottom) — and both fit perfectly.

All-in-all, I couldn't fault this two-piece set. It looked just as good off the hanger as it did on, and I already can't wait to wear it again.

Full-price, this two-piece set costs £104 — which I'm not sure I would pay. And this isn't because the quality isn't superb, but ultimately because it's simply made from a jersey fabric.

Otherwise, I adore the fit, style and design of this matching set, and would hands down purchase it in additional colours and prints if they were made available.

The cheapest you can get this matching set right now is when you buy directly from Nobody's Child. Both the top and skirt are significantly reduced, and there's a wide range of sizes readily available to shop.
