No TVB assistance? Dayo Wong relies on himself

10 Feb – Hong Kong actor-comedian Dayo Wong recently admitted that TVB is not involved in the promotions of his new movie, "Agent Mr. Chan" due to its lawsuit with HMV Digital China - which also produced the said movie.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at the promotional event with co-stars Charmaine Sheh and C Kwan recently, acknowledged the fact that TVB had always been there for him in the past, even when the company were not directly involved with his projects.

"In the past, whenever I have a stand-up special, TVB will be airing my series on television. People would say that TVB takes good care of me and promotes me whenever I have a show," he said.

However, Dayo said that he has learned to do things on his own in the past few years, when TVB no longer aired his series.

"Help is good, but in the end, you have to rely on yourself. You still have to be capable on your own without it," he added.

On the other hand, Charmaine admitted that she had no idea about the issue concerning the two companies, but believed that there are other ways for them to effectively promote the movie.
