No one can pull off a Draco Malfoy slicked-back hairstyle the way Zendaya can
I wonder if the hair and makeup artists knew while styling a 12-year-old boy's bleached blonde hair for a movie about magic back in 2000, that 23 years later that character's hairstyle would still be a widely used beauty reference. But when we say Draco Malfoy hair, you all know exactly what we mean. That lightly wet-look slicked-back look is not for everyone. It's not the easiest look to pull off, nor the most forgiving. But one individual who slays it effortlessly? Zendaya. Is there anything she can't do?
The actress just posted pictures to Instagram so hot she Avada Kedavra'd me (that's the killing curse in Harry Potter for anyone in need of a refresher). With a bold red lip and her hair imperfectly slicked back so flat to her head, we got completely lost in her angular brows, sculpted cheekbones, sky-scraping lashes and, my gosh, that jawline.
But what did she caption the pics? "Almost forgot about these ♥️". We can't compute. These pics are unforgettable. Imagine being so hot that pictures this jaw-dropping are almost forgettable.
While Zendaya hasn't tagged the hairstylist behind the look, the makeup was the work of Raoúl Alejandre, who we have to thank for one of the most beautiful multi-tonal red lips we've seen all year, appearing to use a deeper red for the top lip with a warmer orange-red for the bottom. Art.
I never thought I'd be trying out a wet-look slick back but honestly, this post might have just convinced me to give it a whirl.
