Niecy Nash: It Was 'Very Important to Show My Children What Real Love Is' When They Met Their Stepdad-to-Be

Niecy Nash is looking extra giddy these days, and who can blame her?

The Claws star stopped by PEOPLE Now to talk about her new “dark, funny” show Claws, noting that her character Desna is “super sexy.”

Nash hints that we can expect some scandalous scenes in the show, teasing with a laugh: “TNT is bringing on the TNA!”

But the former Dancing with the Stars contestant makes it very clear that Desna’s love life — including one very talkative sex scene — is much more out-there than her off-screen romantic life.

“You know me and my husband, honey, that’s a whole ‘nother story,” she gushed. “That real love — I can’t tell you my secrets!”

Nash, 47, has been married to Jay Tucker since 2011 and is still smitten as ever.

When she was busy shooting Claws, she posted an Instagram about just how much she missed her husband while away from home — and it seems like she could not stay away!

“I’ve never had a job that took me away from home this long, so I have to import that loving,” she shared. “Listen, I’m not going to fare well without a conjugal visit or two!”

From the get-go, Nash said that Tucker committed not only to her, but also her entire family.

“The one thing I will say … is that he said from the beginning, ‘I’m marrying all of you, so my mother, my children — and he’s been committed to us from the day he walked through that door,” she recalls.

And in that way, Nash sees her relationship as a way to set an example that will impact her kids’ lives because “it’s very important to show my children what real love looks like.”

Claws airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET) on TNT.
