Nicky Hilton Does Saks Fifth Avenue NYFW Event in Red Sequined Dress She Designed and Embellished Manolo Blahnik Shoes
Nicky Hilton is already in the throes of New York Fashion Week, though the event hasn’t officially kicked off. The entrepreneur and socialite started at the Marc Jacobs show on Monday which was an unofficial kickoff of sorts. To that event she pulled out a pair of her tried and true Marc Jacobs Kiki ankle boots in white leather. Now she’s at an event for Saks.
For her Wednesday night out, Hilton chose to wear a dress she designed. She turned up at the event wearing a red sequined dress from her collaborative line released with Rebecca Vallance. Named the Zelda, the dress features puff sleeves and a cutout torso embellished with rosettes.

For shoes, Hilton wore Manolo Blahnik’s Lurum heels. The shoe is a mule silhouette. It includes a top strap that goes across the foot and is embellished with crystals arranged to resemble a branch of leaves. In addition, the sculpted toe box, which features a pointed toe, includes more crystals across the vamp.
Th upper of the design is made of velvet. Hilton chose red to match her dress. The stiletto heel is about three and a half inches.
Manolo Blahnik is not currently selling the Lurum in velvet. Instead, the company is selling the party shoe in satin. This comes in a variety of colors. In addition to the heeled version, the company also offers a flat Lurum. All are $1,495. Some other sites offer the Lurum in velvet in various colors.
Hilton is a fan of feminine footwear silhouettes. Often spotted in a heel, she is fabrication agnostic switching from suedes to satin and velvet as well as patent leather. Just last month she was seen in Manolo Blahnik’s Hangisi pump. That shoe was also embellished, a design choice that Blahnik has become known for.
That she chose mules is par for the moment. Quite a number have been choosing embellished mule options lately. That has included crystal-embellished styles like Jimmy Choo’s Bing mule — Brianne Howey wore that to a “Kinda Pregnant” premiere while Normani wore it to the Los Angeles premiere of “Wicked.” Others like Mikey Madison and Ciara have chosen fur mules.
