Trailer: 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2' goes big time

Kevin James's mall security guard buffoon is heading to Las Vegas and his Segway-riding skills are called upon once more.

Treating his college-bound daughter to a weekend in the Entertainment Capital of the World, one that happens to coincide with a Security Guard Expo, sets bumbling Paul Blart on a date with destiny.

With a multiple casino heist underway, Blart must outdo the smart and sophisticated Vincent (Neal McDonough of "Justified," "Desperate Housewives"), instead rounding up an unlikely justice force to confound the criminals' lucrative plan.

Raini Rodriguez returns as Blart's daughter Maya, having been a regular on Disney Channel sitcom "Austin & Ally" in the meantime.

Also co-starring are Mexican hearthrob Eduardo Verástegui ("Bella"), Costa Rican starlet Daniella Alonso (NBC series "The Night Shift"), California-born David Henrie ("Wizards of Waverly Place") and Gary Valentine ("King of Queens," "Fargo").

Andy Fickman of "She's The Man" and "Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical" directs from a script co-written by the original "Paul Blart" team of Kevin James and Nick Bakay.

An April 17, 2015 release date is set for the US, where 2009's "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" grossed $146m on a $26m budget; the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, Malaysia and Singapore are among territories granted domestic releases during the surrounding 7-day period.
