Tina Fey heads up mystery Disney project

The "30 Rock" and "Saturday Night Live" star is to produce and star in an untitled witch-featuring movie for Disney, and it's not the rumored "Hocus Pocus 2."

Debunking the rumor that had been flying around earlier in the week, Deadline brought word that the movie's working title is "Untitled Witch Project," something that's "in the vein of 'Ghostbusters.'"

"Ghostbusters III" itself is currently in pre-production at Sony Pictures.

Fey will be producing the supernatural flick alongside Allison Shearmur, who was Lionsgate's President of Production on "The Hunger Games"; Shearmur is currently attached to Kenneth Brannagh's "Cinderella" for Disney and the adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" from "Igby Goes Down" director Burr Steers.

Next up for Fey is "The Nest," a 2015 comedy that has Amy Poehler alongside Fey, as two sisters determined to make the most of a party opportunity when the family home is about to be sold.
