Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan Explains Why He Went from Young Flower Boy to Aged Muscle Man

During Shinhwa’s second album activities, Kim Dong Wan was the most popular member with his fresh flower boy image. However by the time the next promotions came around, that young innocent teenager was replaced with a muscular man, upsetting many fans.

For the first time, Kim Dong Wan revealed the reason for his transformation in a recent recording of KBS’ Happy Together.

During the recording, announcer Choi Hee, who is a Shinhwa fan, talked about how Kim Dong Wan made all the fans cry by becoming muscular all of the sudden.

Kim Dong Wan replied, “The reason why I started building muscles is because of my ex-girlfriend. My girlfriend then didn’t like my skinny image. After I broke up with her, I suddenly decided to exercise and get bigger.”

More on Kim Dong Wan′s muscle building project will be revealed on May 16.
