Park Chan-wook's "Stoker" released early 2013

21 Jul - It was revealed that visionary filmmaker, Park Chan-wook's Hollywood venture, "Stoker" has finally confirmed its released date.

As reported on Chosunilbo website, the movie is slated for cinematic release on 1 March 2013. Earlier, it was reported that Clint Mansell ("Smokin Aces", "Black Swan") has signed on to produce the music scores for the film – written by actor Wentworth Miller of the "Prison Break" fame under the pseudonym Ted Foulke.

Produced by Scott Free Production ("Gladiator", "Prometheus"), "Stoker" tells the story of India (Mia Wasikowska) whom upon her father's death, was introduced to her Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode) she never knew existed - who comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Nicole Kidman). Suspecting the man to have an ulterior motive, India becomes more infatuated with him.

The movie sees a star-studded casts and crews. Apart from being the "Oldboy" director's first English language film, the movie stars Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, Phyllis Somerville, Matthew Goode, Jill Headrick, Jackie Weaver, Dermot Mulroney, Lucas Till and Alden Ehrenreich.
