Olivia Munn is Psylocke in "X-Men: Apocalypse"
14 Apr – Olivia Munn is the new addition joining the A-list cast of the next "X-Men" sequel which will be directed by Bryan Singer.
According to Variety, the 34 year-old "Magic Mike" actress has signed a contract to play Betsy Braddock, also known as Psylocke in "X-Men: Apocalypse".
"Excited to welcome @oliviamunn as Betsy Braddock!" Director Singer announced yesterday on his Instagram.
Munn will star alongside another newcomer, Lana Condor, who was previously announced to be playing Jubilee.
The director also confirmed some of the previous movie's cast for the sequel; James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne, who will be returning to reprise their roles.
However, the older Magneto and Professor X characters played by Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in the previous "X-Men" movies will not be returning.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be written by "X-Men 2" screenwriters, Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty, and is set for release in May 2016.
