Jamie Yeo calls it quits with second husband
18 Feb – Local radio presenter Jamie Yeo has called it quits with her husband of four years, Thorsten Nolte.
In an interview with lifestyle magazine 8 Days, Jamie revealed that she and the Britain-born Nolte had already parted ways ten months ago.
Jamie stated that the separation was their last option, after making all the effort to save their marriage.
"We've tried marriage counselling and I went to a psychologist," said Jamie, who admitted that the problems arose from their irreconcilable differences.
Jamie stated that she had always hoped to be a role model to all women, but was regretful that she wasn't able to.
"I have to think for my daughter and I have to be happy," she said.
The radio personality married Nolte back in April 2010 after dating for a year. She first met the chief executive at Fort Canning Park in February 2009, not long after her divorce with her first husband.
In the same interview, she also apologised to ex-husband and former MediaCorp DJ, Glen Ong, saying that their divorce in 2009 was her fault.
"I don't think I've said it before, but our breakup was my fault and I am really sorry for it. You can put that down on record," said the former 987 FM deejay.
On the other hand, Jamie will return to MediaCorp as a deejay with Gold90.5 FM in March.
