Gao Hu arrested for drug abuse
14 Aug – Another star has been booked by the Beijing police on suspicion of drug abuse.
As reported on CRI News, a press release posted by the official Weibo account of the Beijing Public Security Bureau recently revealed that Chinese actor Gao Hu has been detained for drugs abuse.
The actor, who is known for his role as Huo Du on CCTV's 2006 series "Return of the Condor Heroes" and starred in Wong Jing's "The Last Tycoon", was arrested in Chaoyang District on 4 August with three other suspects, including a female named Wei.
The actor and the other suspects reportedly possessed 7g of marijuana and 1g of crystal meth. All of the suspects have also confessed to taking marijuana, which were later proven through urine test.
Gao Hu is the latest celebrity to be arrested for drugs, after director Zhang Yuan, writer Ning Chaishen, actor Zhang Mo, singer Li Daimo and Hong Kong star Roy Cheung.
