Edward Enninful to receive special honor at British Fashion Awards
Legendary stylist Edward Enninful will receive the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at the ceremony on December 1.
Edward Enninful's career continues to go from strength to strength. Starting out as Fashion Editor at i-D when he was just 18 years old, he then went to work at titles including Italian Vogue and American Vogue before taking his current role as Fashion and Style Director of W Magazine in 2011.
Styling credits include a plethora of advertising campaigns and runway shows for Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana in Milan, to Céline, Dior and Lanvin in Paris, of course working with some of the industry's biggest names. "Edward has exquisite taste and precision and is both sensitive to the aim of the photographer and venue without compromising either," noted fashion photographer Stephen Klein.
"His unique talent, drive and imagination are poured into his work," added Naomi Campbell, "making him responsible for some of the most heart quickening imagery in the history of fashion."
Previous recipients of the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator include Karl Lagerfeld's muse Lady Amanda Harlech, the late Louise Wilson, and Nicola Formichetti. The 2014 edition of the British Fashion Awards will take place on December 1 in London.
