David Tao is divorced

13 May – A new rumour surfaced that Taiwanese singer-songwriter David Tao had secretly married model Jian Baoshian in January 2011 but was recently divorced.

As reported on TW, sources disclosed that the 44-year-old artiste and his younger wife separated due to personality differences that led to a conflict between the two.

A source stated, "David was very unhappy with his wife's modelling career as Baoshan often had to strike sexy poses in revealing clothes for a commercial."

The source continued saying that David wanted to end the marriage earlier. However, the loss of his father, late veteran entertainer Tao Dawei in September consequently delayed the divorce negotiations with Baoshan to December.

It was also rumoured that David and Baoshan have apparently signed the divorce agreement which will promise the model an annual alimony of NTD 2 million (app. USD 67,260) and a condominium unit worth NTD 10 million (USD 336,324).

However, when asked about the divorce rumour, David, who is currently preparing for his Shanghai concerts in Taiwan, has declined to make any comments.
