New London Has Fallen Poster Wants Us To ‘Prepare For Bloody Hell’

A new poster for ‘London Has Fallen’ has been released, and it boasts one of our favourite movie tag lines of the past few years.

The London-set sequel to 'Olympus Has Fallen’ makes a big deal of its UK setting, including the tagline, which reads: “Prepare For Bloody Hell.”

The tagline gets better each time you read it, and better still if you say “bloody hell” in the most English way you can imagine. Imagine Eddie Redmayne saying it, now Danny Dyer, now the Queen. Bloody marvellous, isn’t it?

'London Has Fallen’s poster (via Entertainment Weekly) shows off the star-studded cast, including Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman, against a backdrop of the Union Jack flag.

We can’t decide if our favourite part (other than the tagline) is the British Foot Guards in their bearskins taking shots at someone, or St Paul’s Cathedral on fire, clearly there to remind people of the White House in the first movie, or to trick them into thinking that is the White House.

The original film, which depicted an attack on the White House and was named after the code phrase for such an attack, was hardly a huge success back in 2013.

It grossed $160 million from a $70 million budget, but that was good enough to see a sequel get the green light.

Out has gone director Antoine Fuqua however (he went off to direct 'Southpaw’) and in came Babak Najafi, making his first major Hollywood feature.

'London Has Fallen’ will be released on 4 March in the UK.
