New combinations debut at Durian Fiesta 2017: matcha, charcoal, sunflower seeds
From 10 March to 31 July this year, durian aficionados in Singapore can try new durian pastry combinations at Goodwood Park Hotel’s annual Durian Fiesta.
The six new creations are the D24 sunflower seed crumble tartlet and D24 cashew nut crumble tartlet; D24 ‘Starry Starry Night’ ice cream cake; D24 fried sesame balls; D24 salted caramel cuppa; and a D24 matcha cake.

Other than the D24 ‘Starry Starry Night’ ice cream cake and D24 fried sesame balls, the other four creations will have limited releases throughout the fiesta period.
The D24 ‘Starry Starry Night’ ice cream cake costs $13 per slice, $33 for a 350g cake, and $58 for a 700g cake.
The D24 fried sesame balls are only available for dine-in at the hotel’s Sichuan and Cantonese restaurant, Min Jiang. They cost $11.80 for four pieces, or $23 for eight pieces (prices excluding service charges when dining in).
The D24 sunflower seed crumble tartlet and D24 cashew nut crumble tartlet cost $11.80 for two pieces, and $30 for six pieces.
The D24 matcha cake costs $12 per slice, and $60 for a whole cake (500g), and the D24 salted caramel cuppa costs $12 per cup.
The all-time favourites such as the D24 mousse cake, D24 puff, D24 crepe and D24 ice cream tubs will also be available throughout the entire fiesta.
This year, the fiesta will also introduce a new mascot called Spiky, a teddy bear dressed in an adorable durian shell ‘onesie’.
Each bear costs $22 and will be available from 1 April to 31 July at The Deli, while stocks last.
We can’t blame you if you think this mascot looks familiar, because it’s basically Rihanna as a bear.
