A statement just released by actress Han So Hee's agency, 9ato, says that the 26-year-old actress, who was slated to star alongside Ju Ji Joon in an upcoming movie by Wavve titled Gentleman, will be pulling out from the film project due to health reasons.

Han had been cast as Kim Hwa Jin, a prosecutor who is trying to prove Ju Ji Hoon's innocence as a private investigator trying to clear his name from a false murder charge.

Han is currently filming K-drama Nevertheless with heartthrob Song Kang. (Nevertheless is currently still airing; read our review here.)

9ato Entertainment released the following statement:

We regret to inform everyone that actress Han So Hee has decided to step down from the Wavve original film “Gentleman”.

Despite her busy schedule, Han So Hee has closely discussed with the film production team and expressed her desire to star in “Gentleman”, but due to her doctor’s recommendation that she requires rest for the time being because of health reasons, such as accumulated fatigue, she has decided to take time off to look after her body and heart after discussions with the production team and agency.

Although we wanted to show fans a new side of actress Han So Hee through the film “Gentleman,” we ask for your understanding upon reaching the conclusion that she needs more time in order to show an even better side of herself.

Han So Hee will focus on recovering her health for the time being, and she will greet fans with a healthier and brighter side through a new project. Thank you.

Gentleman would have marked the up-and-coming actress' debut in a feature film. It was just announced yesterday that actor Park Sung Woong would join the cast as the primary antagonist, the CEO of a law firm.

The movie is scheduled for a May 2022 release on the silver screen, and will be made available on Korean streaming platform Wavve after its theatrical release.
