Netizens in awe with Dilraba Dilmurat's English
5 Feb - Netizens have found a new thing to be in awe with Dilraba Dilmurat, after she was revealed to be fluent in English.
In a recent viral clip that was shared on Weibo, the actress could be seen speaking to Christian Dior Makeup creative and image director Peter Philips during the Rouge DIOR event on 2 February.
In the two-minute video, Dilraba welcomed Philips to Chengdu, asked several questions to Philips including if he enjoyed the city and liked hotpot, and thanked the image director for the gift she received from him.
Netizens who saw the clip couldn't help but praised the actress for her ability to speak in English, with one commenting, "She really is a princess and I really admire her English fluency."
Another posted, "She is very fluent. Dilraba's English conversation skills really made me proud!"
This is not the first time that the actress has shown her English skills in front of the camera. In 2020, she won the Best New Star Award at the Busan Film Festival's "Asian Content Award" for the TV series "Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book". Due to the pandemic, she was only able to record her acceptance speech, which she did in full English.
