Forget Marley and Me or Clifford The Big Red Dog, because there's a new canine-themed film that just landed on Netflix, and everyone is saying the same thing.

Dog Gone tells the story of a beloved golden retriever mix called Gonker, who goes missing, and the journey that his owner Fielding Marshall (Johnny Berchtold) and his dad (Rob Lowe) go on to find him.

The film dropped on Netflix last week, and is currently sitting at number four on the most-watched films list. And judging by the reaction on Twitter, it's emotional AF.

As one person put it, "Just watched @RobLowe new movie Dog Gone. I loved watching it. The ending made me emotional." Another said, "Watching Dog Gone on Netflix. I just know I’m going to bawl my eyes out after. Why are dog movies always so emotional!"

Others added, "Dog Gone on Netflix is a good movie very emotional tho... [sic]" and"Hey do you feel like crying or at least pretending not to cry for 90 minutes? Netflix has a flick for you called Dog Gone. It’s a family friendly trauma."

Another thing that might make you weep? The film is based on a true (!) story, meaning actual Gonker exists in real life. As Netflix revealed on Twitter, "Dog Gone is based on the true story of a father and son who are determined to find their lost dog, Gonker. Say hello to the very good boy who inspired this movie."

Stopppp.

Dog Gone is now available to stream on Netflix.
