Neelofa warns fans of scammers using fake news articles to lure victims

19 Jan – Neelofa is warning fans not to be deceived by false articles online that are being used by scammers to steal money from victims.

On 17 January, the former actress posted a screenshot of an old interview on Astro Awani, saying that an article reporting that she has been sued by the Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara Malaysia) after sharing financial tips on an interview was nothing more than a scam.

Sharing screenshots from the said past interview, as well as the headline of the fake article, the TV personality reminded fans to just ignore such articles if they saw them.

"Please do not click on the link. First of all, the whole interview was totally made up. They are trying to deceive Malaysians with a fake interview, and the link is a scam link to steal your money. Do not believe anything in the article, it is all a lie," she said.

Neelofa also asked fans to be careful, as there are those who have been deceived by such articles.

Meanwhile, Astro Awani is also stating that it is not responsible or involved in the action of related parties.
