Neelofa denies ignoring criticisms against sister Ameera Khan
14 Jul – Neelofa has dismissed the notion that she has done nothing when it comes to her sister Ameera Khan's behaviour, whom many have been criticising for her multiple controversial social media posts.
The former "MeleTOP" co-host and entrepreneur, who was asked about Ameera recently, told Mstar that she has played her part as a sister, which is not something that she would blatantly reveal to the public.
"I know my sister better and I have played my role as an older sister by explaining and discussing things with her, so that she would understand what is right and what is wrong. I won't say much more because it is a private thing," she said.
Neelofa also reiterated that the family had not kept mum about the issue as many had claimed.
At the same time, she denied the notion that her family members were seeking controversies left and right, adding that it was netizens who kept digging up their personal stories.
It is noted that Ameera has been getting flak mainly due to her sexy image, which is in contrast to Neelofa's own brand. Her most recent controversy includes sharing a photo of her hanging what looked like a bikini top on a balcony, which many had deemed inappropriate.
