Singaporean singer-songwriter Nathan Hartono and English singer-actress Pixie Lott lit up the stage at Shell’s Make the Future festival at the Changi Exhibition Centre on Saturday (18 March).

As the headlining act for the festival and an ambassador for Shell’s global #MaketheFuture movement, Lott performed ‘Best Day of my Life’, a song that was released to highlight the need to create cleaner energy solutions.

The 26-year-old British songstress was last in Singapore for a full-scale concert in 2012, and is best known for hits such as “Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)”, “Boys And Girls” and “Nasty”.

She has also appeared in films, TV dramas and a musical adaptation of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” at London’s West End.

This year, she will also appear on British television talent programme, “The Voice Kids UK”, alongside alongside Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am & McFly’s Danny Jones.

Hartono, the first runner-up of singing talent show, Sing! China, was recently announced as the lead actor in Singapore’s first car racing-themed movie.

The festival took place from 16 to 19 March, featuring races, exhibitions and games about the global energy challenge.
