Nancy Sit reunites with her "Seven Princesses" sisters

7 Jun - Nancy Sit was recently reunited with her "Seven Princesses" co-stars Alice Fung and Sum Chi Wah at the production commencement ceremony of her new drama, "Brilliant Mother-in-Law".

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who excitedly brought her two good friends at the event, shared that it has been fifty years since they filmed the movie, adding that it is rare for them to get to see each other now that they're all aged.

"It is really hard to get all seven princesses together. Although we haven't had a lot of cooperation, we would always have a lot to talk about when we meet for a meal," she said.

Nancy revealed that Sum, who has migrated to the United States, is currently in Hong Kong to support Alice and Connie Chan's theatre performance, and that she took the opportunity of Sum's return to invite both of them to attend the event for her new drama.

When asked if they would one day reunite in a movie or drama project, Nancy shared that a lot of people have offered the seven of them to perform on the same stage. However, due to their own personal affairs and busy schedule, they haven't been able to do it.

On the other hand, Sum, who hasn't been in the limelight since she retired, admitted that she was a little surprised by the attention given by the media.

When asked if she would love to become a mentor to the young generations of actors, the former actress stated that she wouldn't dare to do it.

The 1967 movie, "Seven Princesses" and its sequel, directed by Ling Yung, were among the most popular movies that launched its stars into some of the most celebrated veteran stars of today. Aside from Nancy, Alice, and Sum, the movie also starred Josephine Siao, Wong Oi Ming, Petrina Fung, and Connie Chan.
