NanCo challenged by "Over Run Over" leads

4 Dec - While some are speculating that Roger Kwok might steal Ruco Chan's chance of winning TVB King at the TVB Anniversary Awards this year, it was revealed that the stronger opponent might actually be Vincent Wong – who received as many nominations as the "A Fist Within Four Walls" actor.

According to Mingpao News, the two actors received four nominations at this year's awards – Best Actor, Most Popular TV Male Character, Most Popular Drama Song, and the new category, the Most Popular Episode.

While Ruco has won TV King at both Singapore's StarHub TVB Awards and TVB Star Awards Malaysia this year, the fact that some of the votes will come from the management and fellow artistes might decrease his chance at winning it again this year, just as it was before last year, when movie actor Anthony Wong was named TV King for his role in "Lord of Shanghai".

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Vincent Wong's co-star in "Over Run Over", Tracy Chu, has received more nominations than former TV Queen Kristal Tin, and last year's TV Queen, Nancy Wu.

Tracy, who slowed her work down the past couple of years to focus on her studies, is nominated for Best Actor, Most Popular TV Female Character, The Most Popular Episode, and The Most Improved Actress.

This year, seven awards will be voted by viewers and TVB, including Best Actor and Actress, Most Popular TV Male and Female Characters, Best Drama, Most Popular Drama Song, and Most Popular Episode.
