14 Nov – Singer-songwriter Najwa Latif is now officially married to her performing partner, Akwa Arifin.

The singer, who is also a lecturer, shared the good news on social media on 11 November with several photos of her and Akwa at their wedding.

"Praise be to God. We have [graduated]," she wrote.

Meanwhile, Akwa, who shared another photo of the two of them on 12 November, expressed, "Officially married. 11/11/22. You are the answer to my prayer."

According to her manager, Azahari Jaafar, Najwa intended not to announce her marriage to Akwa prior to the wedding, wanting to do so only after everything is completed.

As for her career, Azahari said that Najwa will continue to work as a lecturer and perform as a singer.

Najwa and Akwa previously collaborated on two singles, "Dua" and "Tak Kisah Pun". They were rumoured to be dating at the time, but had never made any responses regarding the rumour.
