Nadine Lustre finally responds to breakup rumours
6 Jan – Nadine Lustre has finally broken her silence over rumours of her breakup with James Reid, and simultaneously slammed a particular entertainment columnist for supposedly confirming the rumours earlier.
As reported on ABS-CBN, on 5 January, the actress took to Instagram Story to address the issue, telling Philippine Star's Ricky Lo that it was so low what he wrote about her.
"[None] of what you said was true [and] it is never okay to use someone's mental situation/tragic past just to prove a point. Mental illness is a very sensitive matter," she expressed.
In addition, Lustre also chided the columnist for not spelling her name right.
In the original version of his column, Lo mentioned Lustre's mental condition and the death of her younger brother, alleging that Reid tried to handle the breakup with care so as not to affect Lustre's mental health.
However, the couple was recently spotted together in Baguio City, with one netizen sharing a photo of Reid and Lustre and saying that they were having dinner with three other friends at Tender Joe's in Camp John Hay and being very sweet with each other throughout the night.
