Na Ying announces departure from "Sing! China"
13 Oct - Chinese songstress Na Ying has recently announced that she will not be returning as a vocal coach for the mainland singing competition, "Sing! China".
According to Now News, the singer whose departure rumours have been reported for a while now, admitted that this time it is true in a Weibo post that she published recently.
"It's time to take a break. After six seasons, I have become more and more aware that music is fair. The brutal competition may be the magic weapon of the show, but every time I make a choice, my heart suffers. I am mentally and physically exhausted," her statement read.
In the recently held finals competition of "Sing! China", it was Tibetan Zhaxi Pingcuo, a member of Chinese singer Lu Han who won the competition, while Na Ying's protégé Doris Guo came in second.
Na's announcement came two days after fellow vocal coach and Hong Kong singer Eason Chan shared his experience of being on the show for the first time on his ViuTV show. He stated that there was a time the producer asked him to press the button for an audition that he deemed good but not enough to warrant a pass.
