Na Ying: I always thought Faouzia would win!

2 Sep - Na Ying has recently broken her silence about her controversial win at the "Singer 2024" competition.

As reported on Epoch Times, the veteran singer, who appeared on the live music variety show, "The Next Singer" alongside favoured competitor Faouzia recently, said that she had always believed that the Canadian singer would win the competition.

"I always thought that Faouzia would win first place, Chante Moore second, and I would do my best to get third place. I planned very well for myself... so when the results came out and I got first place, it felt like I was struck by lightning," she said.

Na Ying said she felt guilty after winning the competition, likening herself to a "thief".

"I felt like I stole someone else's thing. I didn't even dare to look at Faouzia," she added.

Na Ying's victory in the finals held in July was questioned by many of the show's fans, with some accusing the show of rigging the votes. It is noted that Faouzia had made it to first place three times, second place five times, and third place twice throughout the whole season, making her the first ever singer who has never dropped out of the top three in the show's history.
