Myles Frost Takes Us Behind the Scenes at Hulaween

Myles Frost chose a familiar inspiration for his Hulaween costume: Michael Jackson.

On Friday night, Frost revisited his Tony-winning lead role in the Broadway production of “MJ the Musical” for Bette Midler’s annual Hulaween costume benefit. Frost, who hosted the evening’s festivities, donned a custom look designed by Timmy Ajulo and inspired by Jackson’s iconic red leather “Thriller” outfit. He paired the look with red contact lenses and a black T-shirt that donned his own initials: “MF.”

Held at South Street Seaport, the evening honored Clive Davis, Krystyna M. Blakeslee and Bruce Bozzi, and featured a costume contest judged by Broadway producer Jordan Roth. Live performances by Dionne Warwick and Chloe Bailey closed out the evening.

In total, the gala event raised more than $2 million for New York Restoration Project, which was founded by Midler in 1995 to protect and provide support for New York City’s green spaces.

Here, Frost — who will next be seen in Ava DuVernay’s upcoming film “Origin,” out in December — takes us behind-the-scenes at Hulaween.
