Mylene Dizon stars in GMA-7's "Sahaya"
20 Feb – Mylene Dizon was apparently the perfect choice for GMA-7 to play Bianca Umali's mother in the new drama, "Sahaya".
As reported on PEP, programme manager Helen Rose Sese recently stated that the two stars actually have some resemblance with Umali, who plays the titular character, as well as Jasmine Curtis-Smith, who plays her as a younger woman.
"Jasmine will play Sahaya's mother until she is seven, and then Mylene will replace her as Sahaya grows up. They really are similar to one another," she said.
Sese also stated that the network was lucky to get Dizon, as the offer came to her while she has free time on her schedule.
"[Mylene] was very excited with the character, so she accepted it," she said.
"Sahaya" will be Dizon's first GM-7 drama in four years since "Once Upon a Kiss". She will also be reunited with the latter drama's love team, BiGuel (Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix).
