The 'Music Festival' Fragrance That's Way Better Than Actually Going to a Festival

The notes of patchouli and fresh bud are a lot more elegant than one would expect.

Hi! My name is Liza, and if you're new here, I really, really, really like cannabis. I try not to smell like I'm always stoned (if you know me IRL and are reading this, I don't want to hear it) to varying degrees of success, but I've found that a good perfume can go pretty far.

It might seem counterintuitive to cover up my bong rips with a fragrance that smells like a music festival, but hear me out. Maison Margiela's Replica Music Festival is less "breathing in all that Coachella desert sand" and more "fancy bitch who has a mysterious aura around her." Like all Replica scents, the perfume is reminiscent of a particular moment in time, which in this case is Woodstock, 1969.

It's a woody scent, with top notes of fresh bud, violet leaves and red apple. The middle notes smooth things out with patchouli, tobacco and incense, and the base notes keep things grounded with leather, cedar wood and cypress. They all swirl together into a fragrance that slides past any crunchy granola stereotypes and into something that's deep, but also understated and elegant.

While I would love the opportunity to pull off a Kate Moss/Alexa Chung-style festival 'fit, everything else about actual music festivals repulses me to me core (no offense), so I'll be here in my apartment, spritzing myself before I head out to dinner with my friends. With edibles in my purse, of course.
