Muaz Zabir says he and Bella Astillah are just friends
3 Oct - Although fans would be elated to see them united as a couple instead of just onscreen partners, Muaz Zabir recently revealed that he and Bella Astillah are just friends.
The actor, who sparked another romance speculation with the singer-actress when he appeared wearing a suit that matches Bella's dress at a recent event, stated that it was a mere coincidence, and that they never planned to wear the same colour.
"Although she is now divorced, I don't look at it as a chance or a golden opportunity for me to seize. All I can say is that we are friends and we have a project together soon," he said.
As for his appearance at the Jiwa Merdeka Concert where Bella was performing, the actor said that he was just supporting a fellow artiste.
"Just like how I supported Riena Diana and Ellie Suriati's theatre performances, I would do the same with other artistes when I have the time," he added.
Fans of Bella had wanted to see the two of them together for a while now, ever since Bella ended her marriage with singer Aliff Aziz. The two first became friends after working together in the web series, "Leha, Leya Lawa".
Muaz also became the subject of debate between Aliff and Bella prior to their divorce, after the latter attempted to make her then husband jealous by acting chummy with her said co-star.
