More details revealed for the White House and SXSW festival lineup

The White House have released more details on the line up for Barack Obama's South by South Lawn festival reports Pitchfork.

It was announced earlier this month that the U.S. President planned to launch SXSL, a small-scale version of the famous South by Southwest® festival held in Austin, Texas, after visiting the event earlier this year.

Now more details have emerged on who will be appearing at the event, which is set to take place on the White House grounds on October 3.

The White House have confirmed that the Lumineers, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and DJ Beverly Bond will perform, and a screening of Leonardo DiCaprio's climate documentary "Before the Flood", scored by Trent Reznor and Mogwai, will also take place.

More musical acts are also set to be announced.

Admission to the festival, which was based on a nomination process, has now closed. More information can be found on the White House website.
