Monica Chan ends rift with Isabel Leung
30 Sep - Actress and former beauty queen Monica Chan revealed recently that she and Isabel Leung have resolved the previous conflict between them.
As reported on Mingpao News, rumours of conflict between the former Miss Hong Kong 1989 and runner-up Isabel Leung sparked a few weeks ago, when the latter reportedly told the media that she had suspected foul play in regard to the competition that happened more than 20 years ago.
According to the past rumours, Monica shouldn't have won the pageant since she illegally shot a magazine cover while in competition – much to the actress' chagrin.
However, Monica recently explained that Isabel has already apologised to her and explained the situation. While the former denied ever doing anything wrong, Monica said that the issue is too far in the past for her to remember.
According to Monica, Isabel only shared what was told to her by other people and that she was sorry that she has caused the former beauty queen trouble.
The actress also stated that Isabel had agreed to let her reveal that particular apology to the public, and hope that the issue will quickly subside.
When asked if the incident has affected her, Monica admitted that it did make her unhappy. However, she has been doing a lot of charity activities to get her mind off the issue.
