Monica Chan is dealing out lawsuits
25 Aug - It has been quite a while since former beauty queen Monica Chan was in the limelight, but the actress' life is eventful as it is now too, facing several legal issues and a throat cyst to boot.
According to Wenweipo News, the 48 year-old has kept the media up-to-date with her life while attending the DBC radio interview on 24 August.
"The Royal Swordsmen" actress revealed that she has recently started a lawsuit against several mainland brands for illegally using her photos for advertising.
Some of these companies include a bird's nest brand, which still uses her photo even after the expiry of her contract, as well as a plastic surgery clinic that uses her image without consent.
On the other hand, the actress revealed that she has also recently filmed a thriller movie alongside veteran actress Cheng Pei Pei.
While Monica denied any mishaps during production, she revealed that an accident did occur outside filming.
"I had a miserable night after a fish bone got stuck in my throat and had to go to the emergency room to take it out. I also had a throat cyst, and I am afraid to speak loudly for fear that I may need to have a serious surgery later on!"
