Neely Gracey goes viral for sharing video of her son at pool.

A woman is making waves on social media by suggesting that her son's time in the pool doubles as bath day.

Neely Gracey recently posted a video on Instagram showing her family enjoying a swim in a pool, with a glimpse of her son wrapped in a towel.

"Happy pool equals bath season to all the fellow parents out there," the Colorado local wrote over the video.

"Am I alone in this celebration? 🥳" she added in the caption, encouraging others to chime in.

Since posting, the video has gone viral, accumulating over 100,000 views and 10,000 comments from individuals sharing their opinions on the matter.

"Noooo wayyy man. Pool day means it is DEFINITELY a tubby 🛀 night for my kiddos. So gross, chemicals, sunscreen, sweat, pee, salt, etc 🤢😬," one person commented on Gracey's post.

"Aw hell no my kids are bathing 😵‍💫," another responded while someone else added, "This is why I don’t get in public pools."

"We would make a joke, but we use bologna as facemasks so we can’t 😭😭🤷🏽‍♂️," the hotdog brand Oscar Mayer chimed in.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Gracey explains that she had no intention of going viral.

"Gosh, I had no idea it was going to turn into this. I was just thinking how much fun we were having since the pools opened Memorial Day weekend," she says.

"The majority of my followers are moms, so I cracked a joke acknowledging the epic battles that ensue with every bath time, knowing that moms 'get it' and would agree that sometimes it's not worth the fight," she adds.

Gracey adds that the clubhouse at her pool doesn’t have showers, so when her family gets home, it's usually split whether they have a bath or go without one for the day.

"We do our best as parents to ensure our kids are safe, clean, fed and always loved," she adds.

"For better or worse, there is always truth in humor, and the reality is that sometimes my kids bathe after the pool and sometimes they don’t," she continues.

According to a study by the Center for Disease Control, pathogens or chemicals in aquatic venues such as pools, hot tubs, water playgrounds or other man-made structures for recreation or therapy, can pose health risks.

"Between 2015 and 2019, public health officials from 36 states and the District of Columbia reported 208 outbreaks linked to treated recreational water," the CDC writes. "Nearly all outbreaks were associated with public pools, hot tubs or water playgrounds."

"Just remember that people are on the other side of social media accounts, and when you bash them, you're really just being a negative bully," Gracey says.

"I honestly laughed at the ridiculousness of some of the comments and really hope that not taking a bath every time after getting out of the pool is the absolute most disgusting thing they could ever imagine," she continues.

"I am currently potty training my 2-year-old, and I can attest that there are far more gross things that I am dealing with on a daily basis," Gracey says..
