Misha Omar on arrested Kelantanese singer: It wasn't me!
4 Nov - Misha Omar recently had to turn to social media to assure fans that she is not the "famous Kelantanese female singer" who was arrested for possession of drugs.
The singer, who was contacted by many parties following the viral headlines, posted on Instagram Story, "Guys, thank you for those who forwarded this to me and asking me if I'm okay. It wasn't me, guys. Don't worry, okay?"
It was on 2 November that a story broke that a popular female Kelantanese singer was among six Malaysians arrested near Sungai Golok town and detained in Thailand for possessing drugs that police suspected to be "yaba pills" (aka "pil kuda").
Meanwhile, several other news outlets revealed that the female singer, who is in her 30s, is a modern dikir berat performer and not a pop star.
Aside from Misha Omar, Akademi Fantasia alumna Idayu also had to clarify on social media that she was not the person in question.
"So many people tagged me about the Kelantanese singer case arrested for the pills. It's not me, okay. Stay calm," she posted with a laughing emoji.
