Miriam Yeung changes habit to prepare for concert

4 Dec – While there is no certainty as to whether her upcoming concert will be held as scheduled or not, one thing for sure is Miriam Yeung will be using this chance to try and shed her lockdown weight.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who appeared on TVB's "StarTalk" recently to promote her upcoming New Year's Eve 25th anniversary concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum, shared that her living habits have drastically changed after nearly a year of rest - which is how she had gained quite a lot of weight.

"All my work enthusiasm was shifted to food instead. I couldn't stop eating. But I am planning to change my eating habits and exercise to prepare for the concert. I would like to weigh 20 pounds less," she said.

Miriam admitted that re-adjusting her routine has been quite challenging at first, adding that doing pull-ups during her exercises was tough on her. However, she assured that she is starting to get used to it now.

Speaking about her upcoming concert, Miriam stated that it would be different from her previous tours in that it would represent her 25 years in showbiz.

"There are a lot of health and safety issues to be considered. But I will look at it with a positive attitude. Whatever happens, safety will remain the priority. Otherwise, we will think of other ways... maybe even cancel it," she said.
