Mind Over Matter
On October 9, the mental-health focused nonprofit Bring Change to Mind raised the spirits of everyone at City Winery in New York City for its 11th annual Revels & Revelations fundraiser.
Supporters including Amy Schumer, Whoopi Goldberg, Roy Wood, Jr., and Reba McEntire took the stage—so did the organization’s own Glenn Close—to entertain a crowd of guests including Mariska Hargitay, Gavin Creel, Maurice DuBois, Steve Buscemi and more. The evening, which was hosted by Erich Bergen and featured Paul Shaffer as musical director, included cocktails (provided by Aviation American Gin, Betty Booze and Betty Buzz mixers), an auction led by Scott Nevins, comedy, live music, and an appearance by students from BC2M’s high school program, who spoke about the importance of its youth-focused efforts. All told, the bash raised more than $1 million to support BC2M and its commendable work.
