Michelle Gumabao finishes Miss Globe in top 15

23 Oct – Volleyball player-turned-beauty queen Michelle Gumabao recently finished in the top 15 at this year's Miss Globe pageant.

As reported on ABS-CBN, Gumabao, who represented the Philippines at the competition held in Albania on 21 October, shared online that she learned a lot from her time at the pageant.

"I've always known that in life there are wins and there are losses, but God knows what's best for us, I trust in Him to take me further. I gave my best and I know it was good enough because I had the whole Philippines believing in me! At the end of the day, it is what it is," wrote Gumabao.

She also revealed that she is coming home and that volleyball would be her "next battle".

Despite not winning the crown, Gumabao did return home with two special awards - Miss Social Media and Miss Dream Girl.

The Miss Globe crown went to China's representative, Yu Yizhou, with the second place went to Australia's Montana Farrah Seaton.
