6 Dec– A funeral will be held for Hong Kong composer Michael Lai in mid-December following his recent passing.
As reported Mingpao, the news was shared by the composer's secretary Clara Lam through Michael's official Facebook, saying that the memorial service will be held privately on 15 December at the Universal Funeral Parlour in Hung Hom, and that the farewell ceremony will be had on the next day.
After the ceremony, the body will be taken to the Cape Collinson Crematorium in Wan Cahi for cremation.
On the other hand, RTHK revealed that it will be broadcasting dramas, interviews, and music programmes that the Michael did with the station from 1984 to 1994 for four consecutive days. TVB is also planning to air a show dedicated to the composer on 18 December.
Michael passed away on 1 December, surrounded by family and friends. He was 73.
