The actress says that husband Jason Francisco is her destiny and she will fight for him

1 Aug - Though actor Jason Francisco has decided to call it quits with wife Melai Cantiveros, the comedy actress stated that she will continue to fight for their love.

As reported on Rappler news, the actress, who appeared on her show "Magandang Buhay" with co-host Karla Estrada recently, opposed to a saying Estrada presented on the show, which stated that even the greatest love has to end sometimes to give way to one's destiny.

"My greatest love is my destiny, and my destiny is my husband. So I really love my husband, right? No matter what the problem is, I will fight for him because he is my forever. Forever is a choice and I choose my forever," said the teary-eyed actress.

Francisco recently announced their separation on Instagram, saying that their marital woes started when Cantiveros lied to him about having an onscreen partner on her then series, "We Will Survive".

Although netizens criticised the actor for what deemed to be a 'petty' reason for a split, Cantiveros defended her husband, saying that Francisco is overprotective of his family in all things. She also asked for others not to meddle in their marital issues.
